STORMY weather has ripped a large tree from the ground outside a block of flats.
Storm Kathleen battered most of the UK last weekend with rain and high winds reaching as high as 70mph in places.
It seems the storm took a toll on parts of Worcester and has left a large tree outside Checketts Court fallen on a nearby pathway.
An eyewitness said Storm Kathleen had "torn it from the ground" just on the corner of Checketts Lane and Droitwich Road.
They added: "I heard a lot of wind, a loud crack, and looked out the window and the tree had fallen over.
"I’m unlikely to forget it in a hurry."
The tree had been left lying along the footpath but Worcestershire County Council confirmed contractors have visited the site to remove the fallen tree.
A spokesperson for Worcestershire County Council, said: “Our contractor has been on site this afternoon (April 10) to remove the fallen tree.”
