We’ve rounded up the planning applications submitted in Worcester this week.

The new owners of the Saracen’s Head want to recreate the look of the pub in the 1960s.

Black Country Ales is doing up the historic boozer in The Tything after getting planning permission last month.

New plans show that as well as building a new side extension, toilets and extended bar area, the owners want ‘Saracen’s Head’ and ‘A Black Country Ales Pub’ written in large letters on the side of the building.

A planning document submitted to the city council includes a photo of the pub in the 1960s with similar signage, when it was owned by Butlers.

An application has been made to amend a planning application that had already been granted for a property in Bath Road.

The amendment relates to the addition of two bedrooms at the HMO (house of multiple occupation).

A neighbour has objected to the new planning application.

A change of use application has been made to convert a garage into an office and skincare treatment room in Ashdown Close.

The Steven Eagell Toyota showroom in Watery Lane, St John’s, wants to install a number of new illuminated and non-illuminated signs on the outside of the building.

The Cardinal’s Hat, which claims to be the oldest pub in Worcester, wants to install a large gazebo in its beer garden.

The new canopy would replace a temporary one erected during the pandemic to allow the pub to stay open. The historic pub has also applied for listed building consent.

A property in Hoskyns Avenue has applied for two conditions of a prior planning approval to be removed.

The homeowners are converting their garage into a room and had originally wanted to extend their driveway at the same time, but now no longer want to do so.
