A CHILD has been taken to hospital following a crash in Malvern.

Police and ambulance were called to Barnards Green Road just after 10am this morning (Thursday).

A car was found to have come off the road and crashed into a stationary vehicle.

An ambulance crew treated a boy for minor injuries before he was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC on Barnards Green Road in Malvern at 10.05am.

"An ambulance was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered one car had come off the road and collided with a stationary vehicle.

"One patient, a male child, was treated by ambulance staff for minor injuries before being taken to Worcester Royal Hospital for further checks."

West Mercia Police said: "We were called to a two-vehicle collision on Barnards Green Road in Malvern, Worcestershire at around 10am yesterday (3 May).

"One child was taken to hospital."
