A temporary banking hub has now opened after Lloyds, the last bank in Pershore leaves next month.

Cash Access, the company behind the new hub opened the project after Lloyds banks, the last bank in Pershore announced that it planned to close in July 2023. 

Lloyds said that it would remain open until a temporary banking hub could open. 

Charlie MacIntyre, Pershore Town Council clerk said: "It was vitally important to the town council to do all they could to support the opening of a temporary banking hub in Pershore whilst a location for the permanent hub is being confirmed.

"The town council are delighted that the library was identified as a suitable location for the temporary hub and are thrilled that residents and traders can continue to benefit from the services the banking hub will provide.”

The new banking hub is located in Pershore Library and is open on weekdays, 10am to 4pm. 

The bank will provide customers with access to cash and provide a community banker to help people with more complicated banking issues. 

West Worcestershire MP, Harriett Baldwin said: "I am delighted that Cash Access has been able to work with Pershore Town Council to find a temporary home for the banking hub and I have also had positive feedback about the plans to secure a permanent home.

"I visited the temporary banking hub and I was impressed at the quality of the offering.

"I’m grateful that the town council agreed to host this service and I am eager to spread the word that the site is now open for business.

“Pershore’s a vibrant town and while I am saddened to see Lloyds Bank leave, I hope this news is reassuring for local people who prefer to do their banking in person.”

Different banks will be available on different day: 

- Monday: NatWest

- Tuesday: Lloyds

- Wednesday: HSBC

- Thursday: Barclays 

- Friday: Santander
