THEN: Those of a certain age will recall that traversing Tallow Hill, the road which leads from Worcester Shrub Hill railway station towards the city centre, used to be a much different experience.
The Beehive pub on the corner of Hill Street, which then ran across either side of Tallow Hill, is pictured below boarded up in 1991 but it did reopen to become a popular live music venue.
There was a greengrocers opposite.
Further down the road was the humpback bridge and a sharp turn.

The pub was in the way of a commercial project to widen the road and create a retail park.
It eventually closed in 2002 and was demolished along with many other buildings.
Further down now, a driver would barely notice crossing the Worcester & Birmingham Canal into George Street.
