A LAND Rover driver who was caught over the drug-drive limit has been banned from the road.
Jimmy Butler, of Lower Smite Hill, Hindlip, pleaded guilty to driving with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit, Worcester Magistrates Court heard.
The 40-year-old was caught driving a green Land Rover Discovery on Old Malvern Road, Malvern, with Benzoylecgonine, in his blood greater than 800 mg/l on Wednesday, August 23 last year.
Benzoylecgonine is the main metabolite of cocaine.
Butler was disqualified for 12 months and fined £120. Magistrates took his guilty plea into account.
He must pay £85 court costs and a surcharge of £48.
