A fundraiser has been set up to help support the devastated family of a "bubbly, loving and caring" young woman who tragically lost her life in Bewdley.

The family of 21-year-old Grace Gardner have been left heartbroken after her sudden death last month at a home on Wassell Drive.

West Mercia Police have launched a murder investigation into her death after they were called to the scene at around 5.10pm on Tuesday, April 23.

Grace's great aunt Dee Ambler and her daughter Carla Sendell have now started a GoFundMe to help support Grace's mum, stepdad and siblings through this difficult time.

Cousin Carla Sendell said: "Myself and my mom Dee wanted to host a GoFundMe in memory of Grace for her immediate family to support them in any way they see fit to use it without the pressure of the money being allocated.

"As a family, we are all distraught by the passing of Grace. Grace was such a bubbly, loving and caring young woman who absolutely adored children and she had a heart of gold.

"Grace had her whole life ahead of her and will truly be missed by so many people. Sleep tight Grace we all love and miss you."

The pair have currently raised almost £400 of the £3,000 target with the community rallying around to support the family and share their fond memories of the much-loved 21-year-old on social media.

As well as a GoFundMe, there will also be a fundraising night hosted by Aimee James and Chris Neale in memory of Grace at The Port House in Stourport.

Grace previously worked at the pub before leaving in December last year with the establishment fondly remembering her "bubbly personality".

The event at The Port House will be held on Saturday, May 25 and starts at 5pm.

Dee Ambler added: "Myself and my daughter Carla wanted to let Grace's immediate family know that they have our full support in any way needed. The loss of my great niece Grace has left a big hole in the hearts of Mel, Craig, brothers and sisters and the wider family. This great loss will never heal.

"We will support Grace's family in whatever way we can whenever we can. Grace's light has been dulled but her lust for life, her love for her family and her joy of children will live on."

West Mercia Police arrested two women and a man on suspicion of murder after her body was discovered. They have all been released on bail with the investigation still ongoing.
