Volunteers across the UK are being urged to take part in an annual bug survey.
The Great Stag Hunt, ran by the People's Trust for Endangered Species (PTES) requires participants to record stag beetle sightings between May and July.
Mammal surveys coordinator at PTES, David Wembridge, said: "We need volunteers to become part of a national effort to monitor these amazing animals.
"The data collected by the Great Stag Hunt gives an insight into where stag beetles live and what the impact of climate change might be."
