A free immersive dinosaur exhibition is coming to Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum this summer.

Dinosaurs on the Doorstep will open on July 13 and run until September 18, 2024.

The exhibition brings the Jurassic world to life by allowing visitors to see and touch dinosaur fossils and original fossils from 150 million years ago.

A display, for the first time in the West Midlands, will feature impressive dinosaur skeletons from over 100 British species.

In addition to experiencing history up close, visitors will also get involved in hands-on activities, such as a dinosaur discovery camp and a dino-scientist station.

The event promises real fossil bones and the chance to encounter beasts from harmless herbivores to terrifying tyrannosaurs in a fun and engaging manner.

Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum curator, Claire Cheshire, spoke enthusiastically about the event.

She said: "Visitors of all ages will be surprised at the number of British dinosaurs that have been found, and how impressive their skeletons and fossils are.

"We're really excited to show this new exhibition and get people interested in the world around us and beneath our feet.

"The exhibition is a must-see for dinosaur fans of all ages."
