THE mandatory mask rule in place across all clinical areas in Worcestershire hospitals has been lifted.
It was put in place after a spike in Covid cases and was applied to all staff, patients and visitors.
The Trust revealed a significant reduction in the number of Covid positive patients in its hospitals, which led to the requirement being lifted.
A Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust spokesperson said: "Following a significant reduction in the number of Covid positive patients in our hospitals, as well as a reduction in their length of stay, the requirement for masks to be worn in clinical areas has now been lifted.
"We will continue to monitor Covid numbers on a regular basis, and we will take further measures if those are needed to keep staff and patients safe.
"Thank you for your support."
