A PLANNED Sainsbury’s Local in Droitwich wants permission to put up a number of illuminated signs.
These would include a ‘totem’ style signpost that would stand at the corner of Roman Way and Copcut Boulevard.
Plans for the supermarket itself, as well as a Costa Coffee, a self-storage unit, two industrial units and a car park have already been given the go-ahead by Wychavon District Council.
As well as the illuminated signs, some of which will be on the front of the store, there will be non-illuminated signs.
Some of these will be free-standing posts related to electric vehicle charging parking spaces.
According to planning documents, “the signage will not have any special effects such as fading or flashing which could make them overly prominent”.
