Wychavon District Council has started its annual canvass.
The council is asking every resident to confirm whether the people living in their household are all correctly registered to vote.
This process ensures the electoral register is accurate and up-to-date.
Every household will receive either an email, text, or letter, asking them to check whether everyone aged 16 or over is correctly registered to vote.
Any missing names can be added and any mistakes, such as misspellings, can be corrected.
Jon Morgan, electoral services manager for Wychavon District Council, said: "It’s important we keep the electoral register up-to-date, and it is as accurate as possible, so people do not lose the chance to have their say at election time.
"Please look out for our emails, texts and letters and respond as quickly as you can.
"Information about how to respond can be found in the communications we are sending."
Residents who do not respond will be sent reminders and may have council staff visit their homes to gather the required information.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the canvass, you can reach Wychavon's elections team at 01386 565437 or elections@wychavon.gov.uk.
