Worcester News readers have helped crown the winner of the Worcestershire Architecture Awards 2024 People's Choice award.
The awards, organised by Worcestershire Society of Chartered Architects, recognise new architecture across the county.
Last month we invited you to vote for your favourite from five short-listed schemes.
They were The Old Fire Station, Worcester Racecourse Weighing Room, Albert Residences - Henwick Road, Bishop Perowne CE College and Worcestershire FA Headquarters, Claines.
We received more than 20,000 votes - and the winners, with a massive 50% of the vote was - Worcestershire FA Headquarters Claines.
The scheme, by Zebra Architects, was commissioned by Worcestershire FA to provide a multi-use building.
The existing storage and changing facilities had become dilapidated over time and as such the design was to create a multi-purpose building which incorporated regional offices for Worcestershire FA, function rooms to serve the community in addition to new changing and treatment rooms.
Accessibility was a key consideration of the scheme and all surfaces and access routes were designed to maximise accessibility for all.
