Fire fighters were called to a kitchen fire north of the city centre.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service (HWFRS) crew from Worcester Fire Station responded to an activated smoke detector in Northwick, Worcester on Monday (August 19) after a small fire had started in the kitchen of a ground floor flat.
The fire service was alerted at 5.28pm and attended the incident at Eastbank Drive, where an oven glove left on the kitchen hob had caused the fire.
HWFRS said it had been extinguished before their arrival, and no other emergency services were required.
