The accolade is an international standard for quality management systems.

Certification affirms that an organisation provides quality products and operates correctly under its regulatory measures.

Having held this accreditation since 2010, Key Safe showed high levels of quality control during a two-day examination by BRE, an independent inspection, testing and certification body.

Matt Guinan, Key Safe's head of technical and quality manager, said: "The company’s outstanding ISO rating was testament to the endeavour of staff and their willingness to embrace what can be seen as a stale topic.

"By getting everybody invested, supporting you and excited about producing better products and better experiences for customers; it transforms into something very powerful from a commercial perspective."

The company, which was founded by British entrepreneur David Ogden, operates within a highly sensitive market, which makes the quality management system critical in their operation.

Matt, who has been at Key Safe for close to 10 years, continued: "David has always drilled into me that people are putting everything they've got, including their lives in some cases, in our hands so it's got to be right.

"Quality management is not a small thing, everything has got to be right.

"It is taken very seriously by every single employee.

"It’s always there.

"It’s not an after-thought, it’s programmed from the very beginning."

He added: “It’s giving customers the knowledge they can buy a product, recommend it to a friend and be sure their experience will be equally impressive, regarding both product quality and customer service.”

The firm's almost perfect processes follow the performance of its newest product, the Ark Tamo device, hailed as the world's most secure push-button key safe by independent security authorities.

The device will be showcased in attack testing demonstrations at the International Security Expo at London’s Olympia in September.
