A WOMAN was charged with beating and strangulation after a car crashed into a city wall.
Phillipa Lake, of Buckle Wood in Worcester, was charged with multiple offences after being arrested following a car crash in Astwood Road.
The 38-year-old was charged with two counts of assault by beating, one count of intentional strangulation, four counts of theft from a shop and one count of driving while disqualified.
She was charged with the incidents at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Monday, August 19.
She has been remanded to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 27.
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "Phillipa Lake, 38, of Buckle Wood, Worcester, was charged with four counts of theft from a shop, one count of driving while disqualified, two counts of assault by beating and one count of intentional strangulation at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on Monday, August 19.
"She has been remanded to appear at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on September 27."
West Mercia Police closed both ends of the road between Astwood Cemetery and Green Lane roundabout after a car crash on Friday, August 16.
