A SCHOOL is celebrating "success in many forms" as its pupils receive their GCSE results.
Droitwich Spa High School and Sixth Form Centre is delighted with its students' GCSE results after year 11 finally discovered their grades on Thursday (August 22).
Nationally, GCSE pass rates have declined for the third consecutive year but the school's Year 11s have bucked the trend with a slight increase.
However, the school still waits for detailed data to evaluate its performance fully.
A spokesperson for Droitwich Spa High School said: "Success comes in many forms, and we’ve loved seeing students celebrating grades of 3s, 4s, and 5s, knowing they’ve worked incredibly hard to earn them.
"We’ve been just as delighted by these accomplishments as we have been by those earning 8s and 9s.
"Many students in this year group have overcome significant adversity, making their achievements all the more impressive."
"While we await more detailed data to fully evaluate our performance, one thing is crystal clear: attendance matters.
"Particularly post-COVID, students who maintained high attendance in Years 10 and 11 have performed significantly better than those who didn’t, regardless of their earlier achievements."
