A GIRL was taken to hospital after a car crash on a main road in Worcester.
The girl, who was a pedestrian, was hit by a car on Bromwich Road today (Wednesday) and suffered minor injuries.
The crash led to the A499 between BP Garage and New Road traffic lights to closed.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a collision between a car and pedestrian on Bromwich Road at 11.31am.
"One ambulance attended the scene. On arrival, we discovered one patient, a girl, who was the pedestrian.
"She was treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital."
West Mercia Police confirmed a person was injured in the crash, which closed Bromwich Road.
A spokesperson said: "Full road closure on Bromwich Road, A449, in Worcester following a collision.
"Both sides of the road, between the BP garage and the traffic lights on New Road, are currently closed.
"No life-threatening injuries have been reported."
