FIREFIGHTERS were called to a disposable barbecue fire in a subway in Droitwich.
The crew was called to Hampton Road, which is right on the doorstep of the Droitwich Fire Station, at 2:28 am, where a fire in the subway had started.
A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A crew from Droitwich Fire Station was called at 2.28am on August 31 to a fire in the open in Hampton Road, Droitwich.
"A disposable barbecue in a subway was extinguished using a bucket of water.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required.
"The incident was marked as pending closure at 2.45am."
