THERE was a large emergency service presence after a concern for safety on a city bridge.

Fire services, police and ambulance were seen on Worcester Bridge on Saturday after a concern for safety.

A Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A crew from Worcester Fire Station and boat crews from Worcester and Evesham were called at 3.07am on August 31 to a concern for safety at Worcester Bridge.

"One male person was handed over to the care of the ambulance service, who attended along with police.

"The incident was marked as pending closure at 4.25am."
