A ROMANIAN restaurant has been given permission to put up a canopy in its garden.
La Terasa in Friar Street has also been granted retrospective planning permission for decking it says was installed by previous tenants.
The restaurant says the design of the canopy will be in keeping with the neighbouring Tudor House Museum and its historic garden.
Planning officers said the proposed works “would not detract unacceptably from the character or appearance of the surrounding area” and that neither the decking nor the canopy would be attached to the listed building.
