A WOMAN has died after a car crashed into a tree in Clifton Upon Teme.
Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash which happened this morning (September 17).
A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "The collision happened around 11am on the B4204 just outside Clifton Upon Teme when a blue Mazda collided with a tree.
"The driver of the car, a man in his 70s, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.
"The passenger, a woman in her 70s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene."
The B4204 was closed by police after the incident.
