EMERGENCY services raced to the riverside this afternoon after reports of a woman threatening to jump off a bridge in the city centre.
A large fire service presence could be seen in Croft Road Car Park this morning (September 22) after a women threatened to jump from a nearby bridge.
The firefighters, who were called as a precaution by police, brought two fire engines, two boats, a drone and a canine unit.
One witness said: "It happened between 10am and 11am.
"A female was threatening to jump off the bridge.
"All the emergency services were here for about an hour, it was surreal."
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were requested by police at 10.18am to prepare in case a female jumped.
"Two boat crews, two fire crews, a drone and a canine unit were sent to assist just in case the lady jumped."
Firefighters left the scene just before 11.20am.
