FIREFIGHTERS were called to tackle a blaze in the city centre after a tumble dryer caught fire.
The incident was quickly dealt with yesterday (September 24) evening after clothes inside the machine caught fire at an address in Lowesmoor.
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said: "Two crews from Worcester Fire Station were called at 4.27pm on September 24 to a building fire in Lowesmoor, Worcester.
"A quantity of clothing inside a tumble dryer was on fire.
"The clothing was removed and a hosereel jet was used.
"The tumble dryer was isolated.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required."
