A candle placed on a gas meter caused a flat fire.
The fire at a flat in Worcester Road, Malvern, resulted in firefighters being called in the early hours of the morning on Sunday (September 29).
Nobody was injured in the fire which took one crew 30 minutes to put out.
A Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "One crew from Malvern Fire Station was called at 12.26am on September 29 to a fire in the open at a flat in Worcester Road, Malvern.
"A candle on a gas meter in a yard was extinguished and the area was checked with no cause for concern.
"There were no casualties and no other emergency services were required."
