A charity ball has raised £35,000 for community causes.

The Worcestershire Ambassadors' annual event took place on Friday, October 4 at Treetops at the West Midlands Safari Park.

Themed 'All that Jazz', the event was attended by 330 people who enjoyed a four-course meal, an auction, and live music from The James Williams Band, The Singing Waiters, Polly Edwards, and Kirstie Chatterton.

Of the total raised, £30,500 will be used to support Worcestershire charities in 2025, with more details to be announced.

A further £4,500 was raised for Kemp Hospice through a champagne raffle, sponsored by Lowes Solicitors.

Ambassadors’ chairman, Jim McBride BEM, said: "I am overwhelmed by the generosity of the ball attendees who have raised so much money which will be distributed to local causes next year, and wish to thank our supporters.

"Our annual ball is the jewel in the crown of Worcestershire social events and is always enjoyed by everyone.

"I also want to thank TDM, who have sponsored the ball for the past three years.

"Their support has been greatly appreciated."

Plans are already in place for next year’s event, which will be a Jubilee Ball celebrating the silver anniversary of the Worcestershire Ambassadors, which was founded in 2000.

It is already possible to reserve a place or a table at the event, with details available on www.worcestershireambassadors.com.
