WORK has begun to turn a former fish and chips shop into Worcester's newest pizza takeaway.
Domino's Worcester South is taking shape at what was Bath Road Chippy after it was revealed last month that the city would receive a new branch.
The takeaway will become the third in the city with existing locations in St Johns and Warndon.
The pizza chain takes over the former Bath Road Chippy after owner Harry Angelides, 82, decided to hang up his frier's apron for good on Saturday, October 26.
Despite the takeaway closing less than a month ago, construction is progressing quickly with workmen refitting the location to make it perfect for its new purpose.
Domino's is yet to announce when the store will open to customers.
