A NEW city bookshop has had the perfect start- thanks to the Worcester Victorian Christmas Fayre.
Sara Cooper opened Plot Twist Books at 43 Friar Street for the first time on Thursday.
She aimed to open just in time for the Victorian Fayre- and she feels that was a good choice.
The new bookshop is stocking everything from classic children's tales such as Mary Poppins to Christmas books, and there is a dedicated shelf for local authors.

Miss Cooper told the Worcester News: “I’m sure the Victorian Fayre has definitely boosted foot traffic.
“I’m very pleased to be welcomed so warmly, sales were really good for a first day.
“I’ve had a few people come in to look at the building because it’s so old.
“I’m really pleased as people have been in and out all day again on day two.
“I’ve met so many different people from all over the place, it’s been really nice.”
Day two of the four-day fayre saw hundreds of people travel into the city centre to enjoy the festive treats and buy some early Christmas presents.
Festive Crumbles is a first for the Victorian Fayre on Friar Street this year.
Paris Such, who was running the stand, said: “It’s a bit slow at the moment but the Fayre has had a good atmosphere and it will pick up later.”
Jaime Such, in contrast, has been selling hot roast pork at the Fayre for over 15 years.
She said: “There are about the same amount of people as usual but it is nice the weather is dry this year.
“Friar Street isn’t as busy as the high street, which seems to be the main draw.”
Over on Cathedral Square, people danced and sang along to Christmas classics as several bands performed on the main stage.
Among the acts were the Songbirds Ukelele Club, which entertained the crowd with Christmas classics while raising money for Acorns.
Other entertainment saw men on stilts walking along Worcester High Street and taking pictures with excited visitors.
The Victorian Christmas Fayre will remain in the city centre throughout the weekend.
