This Christmas, around 100 dogs will be receiving 100 toys from a devoted dog lover and adoption advocate who wants to bring festive joy to the residents of Dogs Trust Evesham’s rehoming centre.
Inspired by her own rescue dog, Oscar, owner Jasmine has generously bought and donated the toys to ensure every dog gets a special treat this Christmas.
The news comes after Dogs Trust Evesham appealed for dogs to be rehomed before Christmas.
Oscar, the Border Collie Cocker Spaniel crossbreed, was adopted at Dogs Trust Evesham by Jasmine’s family over a decade ago, in August 2014.

Dog owner donates 100 dog toys to Dogs Trust Evesham
Formerly known by the name Nugget when he was at Dogs Trust Evesham, Oscar was a rescue from Ireland.
Now he's a cherished family member and beloved pet and has inspired his owner Jasmine to give back to the people who supported him through the difficult stages of his early life.
Over the past few months, Jasmine has been working hard to collect 100 toys to distribute to all the dogs at the centre, including those who are currently living off site in foster homes, as part of the organisation’s Home from Home fostering scheme.
When asked about her act of generosity, Jasmine said: “We know it’s not always possible for every dog to have their own toys when they’re in kennels, so we wanted to make sure they did this Christmas.

“Oscar would have loved this when he was in Dogs Trust Evesham’s care, so I’m really excited to be able to make a difference for these dogs in other ways aside from adoption.”

“Here at the centre, we do everything we can to make the festive season as special as possible for the dogs in our care, but it wouldn’t be possible without the support of people like Jasmine.
“It makes a world of a difference to these dogs who don’t have families to spend Christmas Day with. Until these dogs find their happy place, we’re committed to giving them the best possible care here at the rehoming centre.”
