Taking to the hugely popular social media platform Reddit, users have shared some of the once common things that have "gradually disappeared" over the last decade.

Kick-starting the conversation, the original poster (OP) asked: "What has gradually disappeared over the last ten years without people really noticing?"

There were over a hundred responses to the question, with dozens giving a variety of unique and thought-provoking answers.

Reddit users share the once common things that have 'disappeared' over the last decade

Users on the popular Reddit group r/AskReddit were quick to share their takes with one person pointing out that coins on the pavement had become a rare sight.

Others, who hadn't noticed this trend previously, responded: "Holy sh*t" and "Ooooh good one".

In terms of technology, curved and 3D televisions were also said to have vanished over the last decade.

One person penned: "OMG CURVED TVS bro I remember seeing ads for them all the time and now there's like none + never seen one in person LMFAO."

"I remember us watching a few movies and sports in 3D, but after a few months, the novelty wore off, and it rarely got used after that."

Certain brands and retailers have disappeared over the last 10 years, including the once-omnipresent Blockbuster.

Highlighting this fact, one person said: "Remember Blockbuster? Yeah, me neither. 

"One day they were everywhere, and the next, poof - gone. It’s wild how streaming just swooped in and made physical media feel like a relic."

Other lost things named included "toys in cereal boxes," DVDs and chequebooks.
