A CITY pub is closed after being sold by the pub company that owned it.
Admiral Taverns said The Swan Inn on Barbourne Road didn't have a "sustainable future" under the company's ownership.
"We are strong believers in the importance of community pubs and our focus is always on helping our licensees run sustainable pub businesses," a spokesperson said.
"After careful consideration, however, we felt in this instance that The Swan Inn did not have a long-term sustainable future within our estate and therefore we took the decision to sell the pub."

The pub is currently closed, with a security sign in the window warning people to "keep out".
Its most recent managers shared a post last month, announcing that they would be leaving the pub and thanking regulars for welcoming them.
A spokesperson for the team said: "Well the time has come for us to finally say goodbye.
"It has been an amazing time and you all made us so welcome,
"This weekend will be our last let's make it mean something and say goodbye to The Swan Inn with a bang."
In April, the pub was reopened by Gareth Stokes and partner June Lange, who said they wanted to make the pub a welcoming and family-friendly place to be.
When The Swan Inn was listed for sale by Sidney Phillips, it was advertised with an asking price of £295,000 and was described as a "well-appointed, traditional public house".
It has seating for 60 people, kitchen facilities, a dart board, a pool table, as well as accommodation for the owner and an additional three accommodation rooms.
The new owner and any further plans for the pub are yet to be publicly confirmed.
