Muddy Stilettos reveals best places to live in Worcestershire 2026

The best places to live in Worcestershire are as follows, according to the lifestyle site:

  • Bewdley
  • Bretforton
  • Broadway
  • Bromsgrove
  • Malvern
  • Ombersley
  • Tenbury Wells
  • Upton-upon-Severn

Bewdley was described as a “charming town”: “Perched on the River Severn with all the charm of a period drama but none of the pretence, Bewdley is a small Worcestershire town with big pull. Its riverside setting oozes character, with indie boutiques, cosy coffee shops and artisan markets adding to the laid-back buzz.

“Nature lovers are spoiled – the Wyre Forest, one of England’s last great ancient woodlands, is right on the doorstep – and weekends here are for paddleboarding, riverside walks or watching the mist roll in with a hot chocolate in hand.

“But it’s far from sleepy: Bewdley hosts lively events year-round, from the River Regatta to the Bewdley Festival, and with great schools, its own train station, and Birmingham just a short hop away, this charming town is fast becoming one of Worcestershire’s most coveted postcodes.”

Bretforton is said to be a “photogenic village” with “rose-clad cottages and orchard-fringed footpaths”.

Muddy Stilettos added: “Small, stunning, and seriously sociable, this is chocolate-box living with plenty of bite.”

Broadway is another place considered among the best to live in and is described as a “pure postcard perfection” with “butterscotch houses and rolling countryside”.

Muddy Stilettos added: “There are pretty villages – and then there’s Broadway. Even by Cotswold standards, this one’s an A-lister. With its famously wide, chestnut-lined high street and honey-stone buildings housing indie boutiques, art galleries, cafés and artisan delis, it’s pure postcard perfection with real substance behind the shine.

“Five miles from buzzy Chipping Campden, Broadway has serious cultural clout thanks to the Gordon Russell Design Museum and the Broadway Arts Festival, plus a strong sense of community that makes you feel right at home.

“Hike up to the iconic Broadway Tower for views across 16 counties, or hunker down in one of the village’s cosy inns for a Sunday roast and something local in your glass.

“Families love the top schools, foodies adore the dining scene, and creatives come for the inspiration – all within easy reach of Cheltenham, Oxford and even London.”
