A new clinic has opened to improve access to specialist vein care.

Consultant-led vein care provider UK Vein Clinic has launched a new site in Worcester, expanding its reach in response to growing demand and underlining its commitment to improving access to specialist venous treatment.

Dr Peter Finigan, vascular doctor at UK Vein Clinic, said: "Being able to support patients is incredibly important to us as clinicians.

"By making vein treatment more accessible in the West Midlands, we can help patients address symptoms earlier and provide care that is focused on comfort, confidence, and overall wellbeing."

The clinic will offer assessment and treatment for varicose and spider (thread) veins, including vascular doctor-led consultations, diagnostic duplex ultrasound scans, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), foam sclerotherapy, microsclerotherapy, and structured aftercare.

UK Vein Clinic’s approach prioritises accurate diagnosis and tailored treatment using modern techniques that enable a quick return to daily activities.

Jason Powell, founder of UK Vein Clinic, said: "This expansion represents a major milestone for UK Vein Clinic.

"With patient demand for specialist vein care continuing to rise, our goal is to bring expert, consultant-led treatment closer to more communities – ensuring people can get back to feeling their most confident and healthy self and back doing the things they love most."

Varicose and thread veins affect at least one in three people in the UK.

If left untreated, they can cause pain, swelling, skin changes and, in severe cases, leg ulcers, blood clots, or deep vein thrombosis.

The clinic in Worcester is part of UK Vein Clinic’s wider strategy to expand across the UK, starting with areas with the highest demand and longest waiting lists.

UK Vein Clinic was established in 2020 by vascular specialists to meet rising demand for dedicated vein care.

They aim to reduce travel and wait times by delivering evidence-based, consultant-led care closer to home, using advanced diagnostics and minimally invasive treatments.

The company also supports more efficient use of NHS resources.

Further regional clinics are planned as part of their long-term growth strategy.
