WORCESTER Warriors have announced the retention of a powerful back who scored in each of their play-off matches.

The club has also signed an experienced forward with over 200 appearances for Gloucester.

Fijian Siva Naulago is sticking around for another season at Sixways, having proved a key difference-maker on the side's way to the Champ Rugby trophy - crossing for five tries in their three play-off matches.

Naulago successfully crossed for a brace against both Chinnor in the quarter-finals and Ealing Trailfinders in the semi-finals, before capping it off by dotting down in the play-off final against Bedford Blues.

The wing also set up Jake Garside's final-play winner against previously undefeated Ealing Trailfinders in the Champ semi-finals.

Naulago had spent much of the season on the side lines injured, with head coach Matt Everard repeatedly crediting the Fijian with his work while unable to take to the field on a matchday.

"Siva, regardless of injury has come to every single away game, every single home game," Everard previously told Worcester News. "He helps our head of operations pack up the van, helps the physios get all the medical kit out, he is the ultimate team man and he’s been absolutely amazing.

“In his own unique, really, really special way, he is his an important leader in the group. Obviously he is magic on the ball isn’t he? Magic in his defence.

"But what he does off the ball in the way he moves and the way he has been in-and-around the club, I am really, really grateful for Siva.”

Elsewhere, the club have announced another new signing will be bolstering the side.

Versatile forward Tom Savage - who can line up either at second-row or flanker - will be coming to Sixways next season.

Savage returns to the UK after playing in Japan for Suntory Sungoliath and then in New Zealand for North Harbour and Moana Pasifika in Super Rugby.

On joining the side, Savage said: "I'm really excited to be joining Worcester Warriors. The club has a rich history and an incredibly loyal fanbase, which I'm looking forward to being a part of.

"From the conversations I've had with Matt Everard, it is clear there is something special building here. I can't wait to get stuck in, connect with the players and coaches, and contribute to a team that has already achieved so much this season.

"It's also exciting to be returning to the UK after seven years playing overseas. I'm looking forward to experiencing the rugby culture here again and sharing that journey with my family."

Head coach Everard added: "I'm really excited by the signing of Tom Savage for next season.

"As a person, Tom is someone who drives high performance and togetherness from his team mates.

"As a player, Tom brings a huge amount of experience and leadership.

"Having made nearly 200 appearances for Gloucester and playing the last two seasons in Super Rugby, we are very excited to see Tom pull on a Worcester shirt."
