POLICE have confirmed what caused "severe" delays on the M5 near Worcester.
Motorists were delayed by more than 30 minutes near junction 8 on Friday (June 12), after what AA described as an "obstruction" in the road.
West Mercia Police said it had received a report of a broken down van.

A spokesperson said: "We received a report of a van breaking down in the fast lane of the M5, junction 8, around 12.40pm this afternoon.
"No requirement for officers to be deployed."
Traffic had returned to normal by 3pm.
