A gruelling 200-mile cycle challenge has raised more than £13,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The bike ride which spanned routes through Wales, Worcestershire and the Cotswolds was completed by colleagues, partners and supporters from Platform Housing Group over two days.
Duncan Palmer, head of localities for the Severn region at Platform Property Care, took on the challenge alongside colleagues Dayne Crosdale and Alan Danby.
He said: "Taking part in this year’s bike ride was another fantastic experience and one I’m incredibly proud to have been part of.
"The challenge is tough, but what makes it special is the teamwork.
"From the riders to the support crew and everyone who sponsored us, it really was a huge team effort.
"Riding the final stretch alongside Dayne and Alan gave me the boost I needed after a long day in the saddle, and the encouragement from the support team throughout the event was second to none.
“Knowing we’ve already raised more than £13,000 for Macmillan makes every mile worthwhile.
"I’d like to say a heartfelt than you to everyone who donated, supported us and helped make the event such a success.”
Macmillan Cancer Support was selected as Platform’s Corporate Charity Partner for 2026–28 following a colleague vote.
Kate McGrory, relationship fundraising manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, said: "Raising more than £13,000 is a fantastic achievement and every pound will help Macmillan continue to provide vital emotional, practical and financial support to people living with cancer and those who love them."
Platform expects the fundraising total to increase further as final sponsorship is collected.
