The M5 will close in these three locations overnight

DRIVERS have been warned of closures on the M5 overnight.

They are taking place in the following locations between Friday (September 11) and Saturday (September 12):

Junction 16

  • M5 northbound junction 16 entry slip and junction 15 exit slip onto the M4 eastbound and westbound closed between 9.30pm and 6am
  • Closure for inspection works 
  • Alternative diversion route for M4 bound traffic via the M5 northbound to junction 14, to turn and return southbound to junction 15, using the alternative M4 entry slip roads. 

Junction 26

  • M5 northbound junction 26 entry slip road closure between 9pm and 6am
  • Closure for drainage
  • Diversion southbound to junction 27 and return

Junction 8

  • M5 northbound junction 8 entry slip road closure between 9pm and 6am
  • Carriageway closure for maintenance works
  • Diversion via National Highways network
