I was cheered up this morning no end to hear that Ben Mills who took part in last years X Factor is releasing his first single on Monday called “Beside You”. I have been hooked on Ben and his voice from the moment I first saw him audition on X Factor last year, and I knew he was different.

Thought because he was different, I knew that he wouldn’t win the competition. Only those that sound the same as every single boy and girl band who have gone before have a chance of winning.

Ben releases an album a week on Monday too and I hope it does well, as it is very rare that you find someone like him who dares to be different from the rest of the crowd.

So what else has been happening? Well the main story this week of course has been the one about contaminated petrol. Motorists mainly in the south of the country were amazed when their cars started to break down without any major explanation, and it turns out that it is the petrol that is at fault and is causing the breakdowns. The contaminated petrol was sent out to a load of Morrisons and Tesco’s and even Asda, and everyone is calling upon the stores to foot the bill for compensation repairs. But I think that the fuel depots that sent out the contaminated fuel should pay, not the supermarkets. They didn’t know they were getting contaminated fuel!

The other thing of note was the awful tornado in Alabama USA that ripped through a school and killed at least 8 people. I guess one lesson there is that, no matter what, you can’t help the weather.
