TEENAGERS at Pershore High School have been rewarded for their work over the past year at the school’s annual presentation evening.

Awards were handed out by the guest of honour Lord Phillips of Sudbury, who spent time with the pupils in the afternoon, before the presentation evening.

Lord Phillips of Sudbury is a freelance journalist and regular BBC Radio 5 and TV broadcaster. He was ‘Legal Eagle’ for 26 years on the Jimmy Young Show on BBC Radio 2.

Pupils were recognised for their achievements in a whole host of subjects.

Headteacher Clive Corbett said: “Thank you to our students. To those who have presented and congratulations to all prize winners.

"Thank you also to those who have donated prizes and purchased advertising space in our brochure, to Russell Dalton, Andy Pleciak, Dave Clark and the site team for setting up, to the admin team and especially Jane Meadows for the preparatory work, and to teaching staff, and especially Phil Hanson and Isabelle Forbes for ensuring that things have gone like clockwork.”
