PUPILS at Nunnery Wood High School have been rewarded for their hard work and achievements over the past year.

The Worcester school held two presentation evenings for pupils, one for years seven and eight, and the other for years nine and 10.

Awards were handed out in a variety of subjects, with three special awards also given out, for design technology, religious education and music.

The school’s headteacher Alun Williams said: “Our two awards evenings were fantastic occasions, celebrating an outstanding year of achievement and hard work. More than a quarter of our students were presented with prizes and we really could have presented many more.

“In these times when young people so often get a bad press, attending one of our awards evenings, or just spending some time here at Nunnery Wood, is enough to restore anyone’s faith in the young people of Worcester. We could not be more proud of them.”
