NEWLY formed Fine and Shandy boasts an impressive line up of local artists.

Vocalist Sheona Goodyear is backed by guitarist Clive Kennard, drummer Chris Howells – both of whom also play for Worcester-based Groovyhead – and bassist Jamie Shaw, member of George Cowley Experience and Will Dance for Chocolate.

On their myspace.com site, the band talk of diverse influences – “footstompin’ roots, air guitar rock and an undercurrent of blues we can’t escape from”. They perform upbeat, out of the ordinary covers including KT Tunstall, Sheryl Crow and Led Zeppelin and can often be found jamming at the Marr’s Bar most Wednesdays.

On Friday, September 5, the band will be supporting popular tribute act The Whoo. To hear the bands got to thewhoo.co.uk and myspace.com/fineandshandy.
