BASEPOINT Business Centres has hosted a ground-breaking ceremony on the site of its Evesham development at Vale Park.
The company invited Alan Booth, the mayor of Evesham and councillors and other representatives from Wychavon District Council, including the chairman of the council, councillor Jo Sandalls, to join in celebrations to mark the start of work on its latest purpose-built centre offering flexible licence terms to new and growing businesses.
The new business centre is being built by Thomas Vale Construction of Stourport-on-Severn will be fully managed with reception facilities during business hours and provide occupiers with 24/7 access, meeting rooms and a full range of business support services. Units will be unfurnished with the latest technology and support.
The new 2,000 square metre (6,561 sq ft) Evesham centre will provide a choice of about 65 business units ranging in size from 10 to 200 square metres (32 to 656 sq ft). These include ideal one-person starter spaces for budding entrepreneurs and office suites to accommodate larger, more established businesses.
Basepoint currently has 21 business centres mostly across the south of England.
The Evesham development follows the opening of the Tewkesbury centre in July 2006 and the successful launch of the Bromsgrove Business Centre last year.
Basepoint bought the site from Wychavon District Council, which is keen to see businesses thriving in the town. Chairman councillor Sandalls said: “The variety of managed workspace that Basepoint will offer means there will be a unit to suit all types of business, from starters to the more established.
“With the A46 Evesham bypass running adjacent to the site giving easy access to the M5, Vale Park is an ideal location for businesses of all sizes.”
