My loathing for the Worcester abomination – officially known as the Lychgate car park – can only be equalled by the overwhelming sense of revulsion felt in the presence of black pudding.

The latter makes me want to throw up, the former I’d like to blow up.

I’ve always consoled myself that the creators of Worcester’s monstrosity were high on 1960s-type substances when it was conceived.

Alas, I must report the contagion has spread to the south of France. The deranged spider’s web is a new dance school building that has just opened in Aix-en-Provence.

As you can see, it dominates a pleasant treelined boulevard like some towering playground bully… just as its older brother does here in Worcester.
