TWO young dancers from Worcester have been selected for a prestigious dance training programme in the new year.
Molly Roberts, aged 12, and Holly-Mae Main, aged 11, who both attend Christopher Whitehead Language College and are members of W’IRE, Worcestershire Youth Dance Company, will attend Momentum – the Contemporary Dance Xchange, at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
“These girls have shown evidence of exceptional talent for their age and experience,” said Neil Morris, headteacher of Christopher Whitehead Language College. “Molly and Holly-Mae have done outstandingly well. Their achievement is a credit to their hard work.”
Molly and Holly-Mae will attend Momentum alongside their formal education. The dancers will train on Sundays during term time and will attend technique classes and tutorials as well as classes and workshops with other tutors.
In addition to the weekly activities, they will be expected to participate in courses and special projects.
