WORCESTER’S new mayor Andy Roberts has been busy getting to know people from far and wide.

Rotarians from Australia visited Worcester and had tea with the mayor.

The group met Councillor Roberts in his parlour at the Guildhall. During the visit it emerged that one of the Rotarians was the descendent of a Worcester criminal who was transported after being tried at the Guildhall.

Later in the week the mayor was given a personal guided tour of the city centre by Sandy Cale, a Worcester Walks guide.

On Sunday Coun Roberts took part in the annual civic parade from the Guildhall to Worcester Cathedral.
