POLICE have issued these CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with two recent burglaries.

The male is described as white, around 50-years-old with a medium build and balding short, black hair.

He is wanted in connection with burglaries at rural churches. The first happened at around 1.15pm on Thursday, June 11, at St Bartholomews Parish Church in Rectory Lane, Stourport-on-Severn, when a small sum of cash was stolen.

The second incident took place between 11.30pm on Wednesday, June 24, and 12.05am on Thursday, June 25, at St Giles Church in Heightington near Bewdley.

A safe containing two glass jugs with silver stoppers, a silver goblet, a silver dish and a silver plate was stolen.

Both churches are in rural locations and police believe the incidents may be linked.

Anyone who recognises the man, or recalls seeing a vehicle they did not recognise near either church, is asked to contact Wyre Forest police on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
