AN artistic schoolboy from Worcester is top of the pots in a charity competition.
Junior artist Alex Stevens, from King’s St Alban’s Junior School, has been named the winner of the Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Paint Your Mini Pot competition.
The pupil from the Worcester school was selected for his creative daffodil pot design as part of the Mini Pots of Care fundraising activity for schools and groups where children aged between three and 11 grow daffodils to raise funds to provide more Marie Curie nursing care.
Alex was awarded an Art and Go painting kit prize and his school was presented with £50 in book vouchers.
He also received a cuddly ‘Fetch’ dog mascot.
Rachel Dukes, form teacher at King’s St Alban’s said: “We’re so pleased a child from our school has won the competition. By taking part, the whole school has been learning about the Marie Curie Nurses.”
