THE City of Worcester Gymnastics Club travelled to Birmingham for the novice floor and vault competition.
The girls, aged between eight and 17, competed in teams against clubs from the West Midlands and managed to win medals.
Laura Mannion, head of recreational gymnastics at the club, said: “It’s the first time we have entered this competition as a club. The girls worked hard and their efforts were rewarded — we have some very proud coaches.
It was a good day.”
Results: over 13s bronze (Jasmine Kirsty, Jodie Packwood, Katie Holden, Katie Hickinbothan, Zela Scarratt, Sian Bevand); under 13s silver (Ellen Reaves-Williams, Robyn Walters; Hannah Snape, Natasha Gordon, Georgia Roberts, Emma Cooper); under 11s bronze (Emily Bennett, Nicole Cooper, Jamie-Lee Atwood, Carys Maloney, Ffion Thomas, Nina Clarke).
