A CANCER charity is urging women to get behind the wheel of everything from ambulances to JCBs.

Marie Curie Cancer Care has launched its ladies driving challenge at TM Logistics in Martley. The company is supplying a vehicle for the event on Sunday, September 13, which hopes to raise £20,000 for the charity.

The Ladies Driving Challenge gives women the chance to experience the thrill of driving a range of vehicles such as articulated lorries.

Vehicles up for grabs are likely to include ambulances, 4 x 4s, double decker buses and JCBs, to name just a few.

Community fund-raiser Richard Scott said: “I am delighted to announce that TM Logistics will once again be providing a vehicle at the event and showing their support for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Now I urge all ladies to take on the challenge and have a hugely enjoyable day out whilst raising vital funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.”

Anyone interested in taking part in the event should call Mr Scott on 0117 9427132.

As well as women participants, the charity is seeking volunteers and vehicle providers.
