CONCERNS are growing for the welfare of a 49-year-old Worcester man who went missing from his home.

Self-employed builder Kevin Parkins, of Langdale Drive, Brickfields, was last seen by a friend at just before 1am, today.

He has left without his medication, spectacles and wallet.

“Even though Mr Parkins has been missing for considerably less than 24 hours, we have grave concerns for his welfare and are seeking the public’s help in locating him safely as quickly as possible,” said a police spokesman.

Mr Parkins, who is single, is described as white but very tanned, 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build, weighing 12st 6lbs with very short greying hair and 10 days growth of beard.

He is now thinner in the face than he appears in the photograph issued today by police.

He has arm tattoos and wears two silver-coloured wrist bangles, speaks with a Midlands accent, is right-handed and wears size 11 shoes.

When last seen he was wearing a white, long-sleeved jumper with a chest motif and blue jeans.

UPDATE - Mr Parkins has since been found safe and well in Worcester.
